2018: January Favourites

january favourites
I spoke about mismatched earrings in my previous post and I have been wearing it a lot for the past month. This is how the other side looks like and yes, I got it from another set of earrings.

I'm a huge fan of tassels and I couldn't pass up this pair of tiered tassel earrings from aristelle.co. I could customise it based on the number of tiers, as well as the colours. You can probably tell yellow/ mustard is pretty much my new favourite right now.

the ordinary and fenty beauty

fenty beauty killawatt and huxley
Moving on to some of my beauty favourites

The Ordinary is all the rage right now and I'm a fan of the Serum Foundation. In fact, I probably need to repurchase it soon. But what got me really amazed is the Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% which is a High-Strength Vitamin and Mineral Blemish Formula. Niacinamide which is Vitamin B3 is helpful when it comes to brightening the skin as well as clearing congestion. Definitely a skin saver!

I got Fenty Beauty Killawatt Freestyle Highlighter in Mean Money/ Hu$tla Baby during a Sephora sale on impulse and I really didn't think I'd like it as much because I was absolutely in love with the Hourglass one I got prior. But damn, Riri and her Hu$tla Baby.

Huxley have been a long time favourite ever since I reviewed it here. I repurchased Grab Water recently and I'm already halfway through it.

tarte shape tape
This is one of those YouTube made me buy it moments. Tarte Shape Tape was raved about by every single beauty youtuber so i was like, "I gotta have it." so I bought one during a Tarte online sale and man, it did not disappoint! It's a very close to Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer, except this is a better colour match for me. I definitely need to stock up on this because apparently Singapore doesn't sell this. Halp.

Remember when I wrote my resolutions and I said i'm going to read 15 books this year? Well, i'm 4 books down and i'm so glad my resolutions are going well so far! My favourite read of the month is Everything I Never Told You by Celeste Ng. It's a fairly depressing read that left me sobbing at the end of it but the writing was gorgeous and it spoke about expectations, regrets and everything else you can possibly relate to.

If you have anything to recommend mebooks, new makeup or new fashion labeldo send them my way!
