Palladium Cafe

When people mention 'cafes in Johor Bahru', i know you'd think of Jalan Dhoby, Jalan Trus and the surrounding streets. But my friend happened to chance upon this cafe away from the hustle and bustle of JB so we decided to take a 40mins drive into the wilderness and away from the customs.

You know you are at a fancy schmancy private estate when the roads are lined with decorated lamp posts like those you see when you drive into Sentosa. Palladium Cafe is located at this place called Eco Spring & Eco Summer Show Village. I have absolutely no idea what they do/sell/??? but doesn't matter, the star of the show for today is Palladium!

We were lucky to be there on a windy and cloudy Saturday afternoon, so we get to dine outdoors! The indoor area is a little small with just 3(?) tables. I imagine the place would look really nice with lights out in the evening. The surrounding landscape is absolutely peaceful and I definitely need to be at more of such places.

Moving on to the food  I wanted a ribeye steak which was unfortunately not available so we ordered a Roasted Chicken Leg and Salmon Confit along with two Minty Lemonades. I'm never quite the fan of food in cafes, especially JB's but the food was surprisingly good! The bill came up to about RM70.

So this beckons the question, is it worth the trip? Well, if you're driving and have nothing up for the afternoon/ evening, go for it.
